Kathy and family Words cannot convey the sorrow I feel for your tremendous loss. I hope you can continue to feel Bob's everlasting presence as you journey forward. I pray for divine strength to assist you in this most difficult time. I hope you can feel comfort in knowing what a legacy Bob was to our world. His gentle always loving spirit that shone through his eyes and smile could be felt by all whom encountered him. I am eternally greatful for his leadership at All Saints and the wisdom he imparted to my family. He will forever be cherished within my heart.

Bob, Bill (Max Mitchell) and I primed tobacco ( picked now ) on my Dad's farm outside of Tillsonburg in the summer of 1967. On Fridays and Saturdays we would work to 2 or 3 pm in in the field, get cleaned up and then go down to Long Point about 20 miles from the farm. On those nights, at Long Point, they held these dances with rock and roll bands. There were hundreds of teens and young adults at the dance. We would party till 4 or 5 am in the morning, then get up at 6 am, eat breakfast (Mom always made us a good breakfast ) and then go out in the field to work. This is one of my fondest members I have of Bob.

Alfred and I were both so shocked to hear of Bishop Bob's passing. He was a warm, caring man with a wonderful sense of humour. He was with St George's Anglican church as we were fundraising for an expansion of our church. My fondest memory of Bishop Bob was when I was at Corseille and found out my sister-in- law had cancer. He was very supportive and compassionate as I began to grieve. He helped me grow in my faith as he made me a leader in group studies. I know he is loved and cherished. As our minister said Bishop Bob had his best Easter ever last weekend. RIP Bishop Bob in the city of light. May God be with you and family Kathy and may your many fond memories bring you healing in God's time.

Sally: What a shock to read of Robert's passing. We were just in each others company a month ago for St Patricks Day. I remember how proud you were when Robert became Bishop. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Dave and Joan Goddard

Kathy, Marion and I were so sorry to hear about Bob's sudden death. Our sympathy to you and your family. When you were both in Chesley, you were good friends at more than a few "gourmet" dinners, and at church events. I hadn't retired from teaching at that time, but Bob was a good influence and (unknown) mentor to me as I would become, and still am, a ministry personnel in the United Church. I remember especially the joy both Bob and I both had when we played guitars together. Blessings this day and always

I learned so much from Bishop Bob when he was our Rector at All Saints' Windsor, our Suffragan Bishop, and our Bishop. He met circumstances of every kind with humour, intelligence, wisdom, determination, hope, and a belief in the potential of other human beings... and he was so much fun. It's always beautiful when the smartest person in the room makes everyone else feel smart, worthy, valued, and respected, too, and that is how he conducted himself so often. He was a true leader who excelled by bringing out the best in others. He was a major influence on me for almost half my life, and I am forever grateful. Mrs. Bennett, Jessica, Meghann, and all who truly knew and loved him within his closest circle, you are in my prayers.

Kathie, Jess and Rob, Meghann and Jeremy, Natalie, Mackenzie and Riley, and extended family, you have all been in our hearts and prayers for continued strength as you navigate this huge loss. Bob always had a twinkle in his eye when talking about his girls- he loved you all so much! At All Saints, Windsor, I was blessed to work with him while co-ordinating the children’s and youth ministries. Bob was a wonderful teacher and mentor and was genuine in his commitment to share the Gospel, not only in words, but actions. He was always so supportive and ready to be a part of any activity, taking the opportunity to spend time with families. This past Good Friday,I was reminded of past solemn Good Friday services at All Saints, with Jessica as crucifer, carrying the cross covered with a black cloth, leading the way to various stations as the Passion was read. Late night Christmas Eve services ended with Meghann and Ruthie on duelling piano pieces in the hall as they waited for their parents! One of my favourite memories was during a children’s focus when Bob told the kids that his favourite superhero was Xena, Warrior Princess! ( lots of giggles from the adults in the pews!). His sense of humour and joyful outlook on life was contagious. He was a true servant of God, who taught and guided many others, simply by his example and his kind words. I’m certain David Palmer is greeting him with an organ fanfare! Hugs to all, Jane an Nelly

I will always remember Bishop Bob for his sage advice and practical approach to church matters. He had a wonderful sense of humour and his sermons were very thought provoking. As an interim priest for our parish of St. Anne's Byron, he was so very welcomed as part of our community. As a warden, it was always a blessing for us to receive Bob's wisdom. I will miss our brief but cheerful chats.

It is with quiet sadness when I heard the news. Bob made a great impact when he was the Minister at Christ's church in Chesley. I remember parts of his sermons, always thought out and also the friendship Lynda and I had with Bob and Kathy. I remember too, the dinner club evenings and the get together beside the fireplace.,and babysitting the girls at school commencement..He was my spiritual leader and a friend also. I have made a donation in Bob's name Keith Jackson

When I think of Bob, I think of a friend first. His sense of humor could light up any room, yet his deep love for God, his family and the Church was always at the center of who he was. Bob lived simply, but with purpose, he knew when to laugh and when to be serious. He had a way of reminding us that there’s a time for everything, and in every moment, he reflected the quiet strength of a faithful heart. We will miss you brother! We will miss you. We love you brother…. To Kathy and the whole family… prayers ascending for you all ❤️

Dear Kathleen and all of Bishop Bob's family, I am so terribly sorry to hear of Bob's death. He was a very special person to me, for a number of reasons - which Kathleen will probably remember. As you journey through this Holy Week, you will know your own Good Friday, but I pray that Sunday will dawn with the deep joy of knowing that Jesus' resurrection is also Bob's. May you all be upheld by God's deep abiding love for each of you and for Bob. With loving prayer, Sister Connie
