Jack & I were so sorry to hear of Gord's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family. What can I say except Gord was a Special Friend to both Craig and I. He not only walked into our lives but was a very Special part of OUR Family. Many cherished memories are filling our hearts. From day trips to out east travels, to the many hours sitting around our table, enjoying a game of UNO. To yearly picnics at Bayfield, Goderich, and Stratford to name a few. Eating and Tim Hortons coffee and donut runs on a weekly bases. All these and many more will always be cherished. Gord’s support and love and friendship will never be forgotten. We miss You and know that you are Now singing up in Heaven…
I had the extreme pleasure of working weekly with Gord for 25 years at Parkwood Hospital in London. I think we had to give Gord permission to say no to volunteer requests. Hymn Sing, Maintenance Program, singing and playing guitar at gatherings and playing Santa at Christmas (with the real white beard for an authentic look) just to mention a few. Always quick with a smile. Always a funny comment to add. Even when Gord wasn't entertaining, he was making patients laugh and smile in my group classes. He has been greatly missed in the halls of Parkwood after so many years. I call Gord a friend and he will be fondly remembered by all the staff, volunteers and patient's that were blessed to have worked with him. Condolences from Gords Parkwood family in London.
