Campbell, Marie Suzanne “Sue”
1945 – 2023
Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, and following a battle with cancer, Sue Campbell, loving wife of the late Robert Campbell passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the age of 77. She leaves behind her daughter Yvette (Jeremy) Locke, and her dear grandchildren Jonah and Paige who will love her always. Also left to mourn are her sister Michelle (Steve) MacDonald and brother Leonard Babineau. And many extended family members.
Sue left her home in New Brunswick at the age of 18 and moved to Ontario to attend college. After getting her diploma she worked as a medical secretary and married her love, Rob Campbell. Together, they taught ballroom dance classes. Sue was a creative soul who liked to paint ceramics, sew and knit. She found joy in building puzzles with her family. Her luck was evident with her winnings at bingo and at the slot machines. She was naturally funny and brought joy to everyone around her. She had a way of understanding the people and animals in her life and helped bring perspective to those she spoke with. Sue gave her loved ones a feeling of appreciation and self worth.
As per Sue’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and will be interred at a later date.
Those wishing to make a memorial donation in Sue’s name are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society.
A celebration of life for Sue and her late husband Robert Campbell will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at St. George Presbyterian Church, 1475 Dundas Street, London.
