Obituary of Doreen Janet MacFarlane

Peacefully, at Victoria Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre, on Tuesday January 24, 2006, Doreen MacFarlane passed away in the presence of her family. Loving wife of Rev. Marvin MacFarlane. Predeceased by her parents, John and Elsie Zado and sisters Doris and Estelle. Doreen is survived by her sister Betty Reynolds, brother John Zado and her loving children Kimberly (John Schaefer), Pamela (Peter Klahsen), Mark MacFarlane (Sandy), Peter MacFarlane (Shauna) and Matthew MacFarlane (Deanne). Doreen will also be missed by her 16 loving grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Victory Heights Baptist Church, 123 Chesterfield Ave., with Rev. Andrew Plumridge, on Saturday January 28, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation in the church from 11-1 p.m. Following the service, Doreen's cremated remains will be buried at Elmdale Cemetery in St.Thomas at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
