I worked with Woody at the 'Wick in the 1990s, and played there many times in Lot 49, Adam West, the Juke Joint Johnnys and other bands. Woody was always kind and generous to me and I am saddened by this news and I will miss him. Condolences to his family and friends.

Woody was a big part of my time in London. Today my Facebook is filled with memories from dozens of other friends who knew and loved him from his years at The Wick. There is a link going around today with him clearing the place out at last call. It's classic Woody. God Bless and rest in peace.

Woody, you were one of the first people I met after moving to London, ON. You made the Wick a home away from home for me. You were always there to greet me with a pint of 50 and a shot of Jager, but never compromising when it was time for me to go after voicing your unique, not appropriate for obituaries, bellow for last call, or when my drunk, punk, antics got the best of me. You will be sorely missed, but the memories are there to bring smiles to all our faces. Rest in peace old friend

Woody treated me pretty well when I was punk rock boozy teen at the Wick and then later when I quit drinking but still hung out at the Wick he treated me with real respect...I'm in my 50's now and will never forget him and his east coast charm!

I feel fortunate to have had Woody in my life. He looked out for many of us young and old. While I will always miss his bellowing last call announcement...I will also always miss his greeting "What can I get ya Perk?"
