Obituary of Woody Boone
It is with heavy and broken hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our "Poppy" Woody Boone on Wednesday January 20, 2021 in his 84th year. Born in Bell Island Newfoundland.
Woody is survived by his step children; Carmel Mossey, Marlene Mann and Tracey Miller, grandkids; Jennifer Brideau, Terry Furlong, Deanna Mann and great grandkids; Shilanda Sirakova, Kurtis Gamracy, Jadelyn Mann, Mackenzie Moir, Caine Furlong and Carter Furlong, siblings Don & Carol Boone, Walt & Sue Boone, Shirley Boone, Mary & John and Reg & Deane Boone and step siblings Judy Bickford, Marg Kearley and Urena & Ray Delany. Woody will also be missed by 25 nieces and nephews as well as many friends and bands in the London area. Predeceased by 4 brothers Cecil, Buck, Bruce and Harold and a sister Marjorie.
The family would like to thank his nephew Darren Boone for helping to care for Poppy over the years.
Woody worked at the "Wick", Brunswick Hotel for 38 years and in his younger years worked in the mines.
His kindness and caring will always be in our hearts.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.
Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Salvation Army in memory of Woody.
