Obituary of Elsie A. Smith

With her families' love surrounding her, Elsie A. Smith passed away at Port Perry Hospital on Tuesday May 9, 2006. A resident of Oshawa and formerly of London. Wife of the late Gordon Smith (1992) and companion to Ken Hardy. She will be sadly missed by her children Jeanie (Ray) Zavitz, Karen Smith and Myles Smith. She was adored by her grandchildren Daniela Sorrenti, Julie Zavitz & her partner Rob Buckborough, and Lyndsay Zavitz. Loving sister to Jean (Stan) MacNeill, Marion Girard and Leslie Jeffery. Loved dearly by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Edith Townshend and by brothers Ken, Roy, Harold and Lloyd Jeffery. Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Wednesday from 5-9 pm. Funeral service will be conducted in the Evans Chapel on Thursday May 11, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Farquhar MacKinnon officiating. Cremation and interment of ashes in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
