Obituary of Mario Jorge Rodrigues
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mario Jorge Rodrigues, of Lobo, on January 7, 2007, at the age of 49 with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Donna Faye Rodrigues (nee Walsh). Loving stepfather of Veronica, Katherine (Carey) and Annette. Grandpa to Timothy, Ryan, Collin, Victoria and Alexander. Predeceased by his parents Manuel and Elvira Rodrigues (2006) and by his brother Manuel (2005). Survived by brothers Fernando “Fred” (Suzanne), Duarte “Mike” (Melora), Louis (Roberta), sister Elvira (Robert) Dalziel, and sister-in-law Janet. Sadly missed by many nieces & nephews, his loyal dog “Blue”, and longtime friends, Mario had touched many lives. Former owner of R&S Automotive on Cabell Street for 20 years, Mario was also an avid Nascar fan. A lover of nature and the outdoors, Mario enjoyed biking, camping and tending to his beloved garden. Mario spent weekends in his home workshop where he crafted woodworking projects to give to family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Tuesday from 6-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Wednesday, January 10, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Charles Scott officiating.
