Obituary of Vernon Howard "Verne" Trickett

Peacefully, at Victoria Hospital, on January 19, 2022, Verne passed away in his 93rd year. Loving husband of Theresa Wegg and father of Jay & Cathy, Peggy, Guy, Todd & Alice, Sandy & Steve, Jeff & Janice, Chris and Rob (deceased). Cherished grandfather of Kirstyn, Chelsey, Kayla, Tieler, Jamie, Jacquie, Nathan, Kristen, Katie, Robert & Darcy (deceased) and several great-grandkids. Predeceased by brother Art and sisters Marguerite, Eula & Daisy. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews. Verne was a hard working man putting many miles on his truck driving long haul across North America. His work took him away from home for periods of time but when he was home he loved spending time with his family, tinkering with his beloved John Deere tractors or enjoying his hobby of woodworking. Verne's sweet tooth always had a spot for his favourite apple fritters, pumpkin pie or ice cream. A Celebration of Verne's Life will be held in the warmer weather. Cremation has taken place and interment will be in Port Rowan. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
