Obituary of Margaret Jean Cook
After a lengthy battle, Margaret Jean Cook passed away on September 15, 2021, surrounded by the love of her family, in her 79th year.
Margaret is survived by her children James (Cheryl), Catherine (Mark) Johnston, Mary (Darryl) Power, and Carolyn (Lori). She will be deeply missed by her siblings Betty (Gord), Dorothy (John), Jim (Connie), Karen, and Ed, as well as her cherished 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and extended family members, and by her brother in law Bruce (Cathy) Cook.
She was predeceased by her mother Gladys (2009), her father Hugh (2012), brother Tom (1999), sister Joan (2006), and nephew Jason (2013).
Margaret was a woman of strong faith, who was fiercely committed to her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
A private family service will be held to honour Margaret’s life. She will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, with her parents. Those who wish to make a memorial donation in Margaret’s name are asked to consider World Vision.
