Harold was a wonderful man. I didn't get to know him well but you didn't need a long time to get to know Harold and realize that this was an amazing person who loved his family and friends. I met Harold through the Midlanders where he was highly respected and looked up to. Harold will truly be missed. I'm so sorry for your loss but I'm sure if heaven has a band, Harold will be playing in it.

My condolences to Harolds family. He was a dear friend during the years I lived in London. Often he and Molly would drop by for a visit, wed sit, chat away then he would be off to do an errand. He loved his Molly, I was so happy when my good friend Vicki decided they were meant for each other. Harold was a kind, gentle soul, who could always make me smile. When I returned to BC he continued with his email jokes, still making me smile. He will be greatly missed by many, he was one of a kind.

I feel so honoured to have met Harold. I was walking my dog near Harold's home when he came up to ask me about the breed of the dog. Harold had such a friendly, easy personality within moments I felt I had known him for years. He loved life, never wanted to waste a moment. I never heard him say the word "bored". He had so many interests from woodworking to making Flapper Pie. I thank you Harold for your humour (yes at times it was corny and we loved you more!), your advice, your knowledge, your friendship. You are and always will be a treasure. I will miss you terribly my friend.

Sending our condolences. Harold was such a cheerful, happy person. Always smiling. We had great chats & he was always sending funny emails. He always had comforting words when our daughter passed away at 35 years 2 years ago. Your thoughtful Dad gave me a CD of the midlanders, I was a member years back. Again our condolences.

I am so sorry to hear this. I didn't know Harry that well, just from chats when I was walking the dog by his house. He was always so positive and you could tell he lived a life full of gratitude. Once I told him I was a drummer and a day or so later my phone rang and it was Harry asking if I wanted to be a part of a marching band. I still don't know how he got my number! He was a beautiful soul. Please accept my condolences.

Your grandpa touched so many lives in such a wonderful way. After hearing so many great stories about him we were lucky enough to finally meet him in the last year. What sticks out most to us is that every one of your stories about him was told with pride and a smile on your face. When we finally met your grandpa his stories were all told with a smile too. His biggest smile came when he was talking about his family and how proud you made him. We hope you can take comfort in these memories with your friends and family that surround you.

To the family of Harold. We are grieved to hear of your loss and wish to express our sincerest condolences. We have lived in the neighbourhoid and known Harold for 25 years. He was watched our kids grow up, and never forgot our son's birthday being the same date as Shirley's. We have much we could share, as Harold gave much to the nieghbourhood. He will be greatly missed. We hope it gives you comfort at this time to know how much he was thought of. I will cherish & think of him fondly when I see the "dime'n pin" he gave me.

Our condolences to your family. Your family moved to Belmont Drive almost the same time our family did. My parents thought the world of your Dad. Always there to help. He kept an eye on their house as we moved them out, coming over to investigate when he saw a truck pull up to take out their belongings, worried we were doing a burglary. In early November he came to our Mothers funeral and we spoke for awhile. It feels like the end of an era. A sad time for all of you and his friends as well.
