Obituary of James "Jimmy" McCrave
James "Jimmy" Joseph McCrave passed away peacefully on December 10th, in London, Ontario, after a six month battle with cancer. Jimmy is predeceased by his parents Edward and Mary McCrave (nee Watt), siblings William, Margaret, Frances (Michael), Edward, and Shirley. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Rita McCrave, children Linda McCrave (Joel Meeker), Michelle Riddell (William Riddell), Nicola McCrave (Chris Jukes), grandchildren Ashley Formica (Jason Formica), Lauren Goossens (Kyrsten Howell-Harries), Christian McCrave (Robyn Brown), Bridget Bayard, Hannah Bayard, many great grandchildren, family and friends. Jimmy was born in Liverpool England on February 17, 1942. He moved his family to Canada in 1973, in search of new opportunities. Throughout his life he enjoyed playing and watching soccer, was an accomplished bass guitar player, and continued to learn new skills related to trades and technology. Jimmy was extremely loyal to his family and would always be available to offer support, and troubleshoot/repair almost anything. His love, curious mind, and wealth of knowledge will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the London Humane Society can be made in memory of Jimmy. Visitation will be held at the Logan Funeral Home (371 Dundas Street, London, Ontario) on Friday, December 17th from 2 – 4 p.m.
