Owen Gordon's Family. I am sending Blessings of sympathy in this time of sorrow. It is with a heavy heart that I write this today. I shall miss conversations with Owen on art, music and basketball. As a curator of contemporary art I had many conversations with him over the years. Engaging conversations on art, art education and how to best encourage and support early-career artists in Black communities. It will be good to join you in September to honor and to celebrate Owen's life. Peace, Betty Julian Curator of Contemporary Art (Prefix ICA 2019, 2020 & 2021) Former Assistant Professor & Sessional Faculty at OCAD University.

I'm so sorry for your loss dear Karen. I was so sad to hear he had passed away. He was always so kind whenever I saw him and I enjoyed talking about all kinds of nerdy things with him about the life sciences industry. He was taken far to young. I hope Owen is at peace in the cosmos and watching over everyone with a warm heart and smile knowing he was loved and will be missed. Sending you lots of love and light dear friend. Love, Mira

Uncle Owen I am shocked and saddened by your passing. I cannot believe it has been almost 29 years since I worked for you at Amgen and since then we have maintained irregular contact always trying to bust each others chops - me always teasing you for your immaculate crisp sharp creases in your perfectly ironed shirts and the gold tissue box holder you had in your gangsta maxima back in the day and you always having some witty come back. I miss you my friend and wish we could have spent more time together. You always had a knack for picking the most out of the way but rather brilliant restaurants ! May you always live in peace in Gods Kingdom your smile and sarcastic wit will always remain with me. Goodbye my friend and God Bless.

Karen, I'm so very sorry to hear the news. I remember Owen for his love of music, his calls of "what's the band that had the song that went boom boom whatever?" and his energy. I'm sorry not to have seen more of you lately but I will remember him.

Dear Karen, My brother Tom, has informed Colin and I of this very sad news. We are currently in Oaxaca, Mexico but wish we could support you and Owens family. Owen deserved many more years and we are deeply sorry for your loss. We have all lost an exceptional friend and talent. Owen was always keen to introduce me to new artists and send me fascinating articles on a range of subjects. I am so happy that his expansive Rolodex was mentioned! But I will miss O terribly. Sending comfort for your broken heart. Marnie Fleming and Colin Mooers

Karen, I was really surprised and disappointed to hear of Owens passing. I am so sorry for your loss. Owen was always so positive and so personable. He was never afraid to walk up to anyone and make an introduction. I have no idea what happened but this is clearly a loss to the GTA. He did love music and film. He was great have known him and to have had the chance to meet you through him. He alway spoke so special about you. God bless! Rocky

Absolutely devastated to hear of Owen's passing. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. We grew up together in London and quickly became friends. Friends for the better part of 50 years, it was an honour and privilege to have met Owen let alone become friends. He was a kind, gentle, caring and thoughtful man. I've yet to meet his equal. We'll miss you my friend, rest in happiness and love. Big Hug, P.
