Obituary of James Wayne "Jimmy" Groat
Peacefully, on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at LHSC, Victoria Hospital, James W. Groat passed away at the age of 67. Dear father of Stephanie (Michael), Tegan and Micah (Maddison). Grandfather of Hudson, Emily, Aidan, Jaxson and Lyla. Brother of Bob of Alberta and Bill, George and Willa all of London, the late Arthur and the late Catherine Johnson. Greatly missed by his partner in crime Barb Graham-Scott. Forever in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Stanley I. Groat (1983) & Sarah Groat (1988).
James was mostly known by Jim or Jimmy and will be fondly remembered for his interesting sense of humour and never saying good bye, only "see you later".
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St., London, Ontario (between Colborne & Waterloo St.), on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 2-3 p.m. Memorial service will follow in the Logan Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Interment of ashes in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London, Ontario at a later date.
