Obituary
Obituary of Sidney Ronald "Sid" Steinberg
Peacefully, at Victoria Hospital, on May 31, 2021, Sid Steinberg passed away in his 83rd year. Loving husband of Sonny for 58 years and father of Mark (Amy) Steinberg, Mitch (Tina) Steinberg, Brandon Steinberg & Shawna (Ira) Wagman. Cherished grandfather of Sam (Kayla), Jesse, Nathan, Max, Goldie, Zoe and great-grandfather of Piper, Beckham & Jett. Beloved brother of Bailey (the late Chester) Waxman and brother-in-law of Marty (Marsha) Katari. Also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Sid's children always knew how much he loved them and wanted them to be their best, to do their best, and to have the best of everything. To all of his family, to his friends and even to his staff and customers at the Shopper’s Drug Mart where he was a pharmacist for 40 years, he was a reliable, patient, caring and admirably careful man. His quiet demeanour was his strength. He was someone people could rely on. He was honest, dignified and loyal—these qualities were expressed most beautifully when it came to the love of his life, his wife Sonny, the apple of his eye, always and forever.
A private family graveside service was held on June 1, 2021 at Or Shalom Cemetery, London, with Rabbi Catharine Clark officiating.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
