Obituary of Lucia Garagozzo (nee Ricciotti)
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lucia on July 27th, 2020 at Henley Place in her 89th year.
Lucia was born in Sulmona, Italy on April 23rd, 1932. Predeceased by her late husband Riccardo and son Joe. She leaves behind her daughter - in -law Carla (Joe) and son Guy. Dear grandmother of Richard (Nicole), Jessica (Earl), Lucy, Riccardo, Julia. Nonna "Cia" will also be missed by her great-grand-children, Joey, Eva, Lachlan, Harland, Kayden, Maevis, Ryder and Jacob. Lucia, a seamstress by trade, worked 35 years for Tip Top Tailors.The family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Henley Place for their compassion and care they gave Lucia for the past 3 years.
Funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Mary's Parish, 345 Lyle Street, London, Ontario on Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Piotr Wojakiewicz officiating.
Due to the COVID 19 restrictions, a maximum number of 25 people are able to attend to the mausoleum and masks are mandatory therefore, a private family entombment to follow at St. Peter's Holy Family Mausoleum, London, Ontario.
A memorial will be held for Lucia at a later date. Those wishing to honor Lucia's Memory are asked to donate to the Italian Senior's Project (Registered Charity) by calling, LOGAN FUNERAL HOME, (519) 433-6181 entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences can be expresses at www.loganfh.ca
