Obituary of Joanne Elizabeth Gallant
November 17, 1942~June 24, 2020
Joanne Elizabeth Gallant passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 in her home on Juniper wing of People Care Oak Crossing in London, ON. She was surrounded by many who loved her.
Joanne was the beloved daughter of Arthur (1980) and Jacqueline (1985) Gallant. Joanne says goodbye to her cherished sister, "Susie" Carolyn Dart, her much loved brother-in-law Tom, her deeply loved niece and nephew, Jennifer King (Dwayne) and Todd Dart (Shelley), her great nephew, "Noah's Ark" Noah King and her beloved aunt, Mavis Ryan. She was greatly loved and will be missed by all of her family members near and far. Joanne will miss all of her friends from the places she has called home who cared so deeply for her and made her so comfortable in her final days.
Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Oak Crossing Long Term Care for their constant care and compassion.
Joanne touched many lives during her time with us. Her strength was her ability to bring a smile to everyone who spent time with her. Joanne had a very strong faith and lived by the virtue of love throughout her life. She was granted to all of us by God and has returned to His loving care.
Cremation has taken place.
No visitation will be held.
A family graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at St. Peter's Cemetery, London, Ontario with interment of ashes to follow.
*Please be aware that COVID-19 protocols may preclude some being able to attend as numbers are limited*.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joanne's memory can be made to the Palliative Care Fund at People Care Oak Crossing Long Term Care Home, London.
