Obituary of Lillian Elizabeth Carter
Peacefully, with her family by her side, at home in London, Ontario on October 8, 2020 Lillian Elizabeth Carter in her 88th year. Loving mother of Ken (Rita) Golinski of St. Thomas, ON, Wayne (Mary) Golinski of Troy, Michigan, Susan (Marcel) Lavigne of London, ON, Peter (Tammy) Golinski of Bayfield, ON, & Bob (Elizabeth) Golinski of Indianapolis. Cherished grandmother of Dennis (Jenn), Jenny (Johnny), Lori (Dave), Lisa (Mark), Emily (Tyler), Alex (Lindsey), Eric (cats Libel & Slander), David (Nikki), Bogdan (Laura) & Keaton (Lindsay) and great-grandmother of Riley, Paxton, Jaxon, Olivia, Jack, Ryan, Elijah & Liam. Cherished twin sister & best friend of Dorothy Miller of Burlington, ON. Dear aunt of Liz & Julie (deceased); great-Aunt Lillie to Karen (Art), Steven (Karen) & their families.
Lillian will be extremely missed by all her dear friends in Langley, B.C., where she lived for over 20 years. She was very active with her senior friends playing dominos, cards & carpet bowling at the Langley Senior Resource Society and swimming at the W.C. Blair recreation centre.
She was a gentle & kind person who was "Everybody's Mom" and loved her twin sister, family & friends dearly. Lillian loved almost everything sports, especially the Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Blue Jays & the Seattle Mariners. Her love for the outdoors was always enjoyed during her many years of camping, travelling, music festivals in the park, birdwatching or a drive in the country.
Lillian had a special place in her heart for animals, especially cats. Her open viewpoint on the good things in life and fun loving spirit will live on in those she loved. Lillian truly felt that life was a highway…and she made it a wonderful world.
At Lillian's request there will be no funeral home visitation or service.
Donations to the Humane Society London & Middlesex (hslm.ca), CARES Cat Shelter in B.C. (carescatshelter.com) or Langley Senior Resources Society (lsrs.ca) would be appreciated by the family.
