Obituary of John Bill Benos

Peacefully, surrounded by his children, John Benos of Komoka, Ontario passed away on October 11, 2021 in London, Ontario in his 89th year. Loving father and cherished grandfather, he will be missed by daughter, Sophia, and son, Bill, daughter-in-law, Pam, and grandchildren, Christopher, Michael and Elizabeth. John was predeceased by the love of his life, Constandina of Pelagos, Arcadia, Greece (nee Assuras), in 1980. Born Ioannis Vasilios Benopoulos to Vasilios and Sophia Benopoulos on September 6, 1933 in Zevgolatio, Tripoleos, Greece, John emigrated to Canada in 1958 where he married Constandina at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in London, Ontario. A successful builder and contractor, John loved life, his family and his pets, and always shared his love with a warm smile and a kind heart. In addition to his immediate family, John is survived by his beloved sister, Georgia Davlanti of Tripoli, Greece, and was preceded in death by his parents and by brothers, Panagiotis and Nikolaos. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W., London, ON. Private interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
