Obituary of Gordon Sam Kulman

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Longtime business owner of Max Kulman & Son Scrap Metals. Born in St. Thomas, Ontario on September 28, 1917. Died in London, Ontario on October 6, 2006. We wanted him till 120 but we were blessed with 89 beautiful years. A good and righteous man, a mensch, who lived an honest life of Torah values. Devoted son of the late Toby & Max Kulman. Loving husband and life-mate of 56 years to Rhoda (Seiden). Proud and loved father of Shayna & Tony Lipsey, Janet & Howard Goldstein and Sherry Kulman & John Samuels. Most honourable and loved Zaida Gord of 10 lucky grandchildren: Ari, Joshua, Sara & Leah Lipsey; Aaron, Ira & Shira Goldstein; and Jacob, Max & Hannah Samuels. Devoted older brother to Shirley Adler (the late Dave) and the late Dora Zulauf (Ben). Wonderful Uncle Gordy to many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank all those doctors, nurses, caregivers and numerous hospital workers who provided compassionate care during the past year. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 9 at 12 noon at Or Shalom Synagogue, 534 Huron St., London Ontario. Interment in Toronto at Agudath Achim Cemetery on Roselawn Avenue at 3:30p.m. Due to Chol Hamoed Sukkot, shiva will commence on Monday, October 16 following the festival of Simhat Torah, at 124 Abbeywood Trail, Toronto. Evening service at 6:30p.m Shiva will conclude on Friday, October 20 at noon. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. London, Ontario (519) 433-6181, (between Waterloo and Colborne St.).
