Born May 3, 1930 in Perpatari, Mousaki, Tripoli, Greece. In 1950, sponsored by his Uncle in Ottawa, George stays and works shining shoes in front of the Parliament buildings. Hearing about opportunities out west, heads to Calgary to work on the railroads then as a cook in the Northern BC mining camps. He eventually returned to London setting up roots and meeting the love of his life, Maria at the London Café. In a span of 65 years, George had several successful restaurant businesses, was a well-known and dedicated member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Community, serving on the board and as President for many years.
George's most treasured moments were spending time with his six grandchildren. He will be remembered for his love of his family & friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May His Memory Be Eternal.
