Obituary of George Catsamoundis
Loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, passed away suddenly and peacefully at home on August 29th, 2020 in his wife's arms. Loving husband of Maria for 48 years. Cherished father of Reni Barberena (Luis Adolfo) and Patti Trotter (Richard). World's best Papou to Isabella & George Barberena, James, Thomas and Daniel Trotter. Brother of Athanasios Catamoundis (Sophia) and Socrates Catamoundis (Katherine). Brother in-law of Helen Tzavelas (Foti) and predeceased by Athanasia Manolopoulos (Constantinos), Dimitrios "Jim" Tsionis (Vasiliki "Bessie") and Leonidas "Len" Tsionis (Eleni). George is loved by many cousins, nieces, nephews and Godchildren. The one thing that brought George joy was seeing his family happy. He was a humble and devoted man and his grandchildren were his everything.
George's beautiful and kind soul will forever be missed.
Funeral Service will be held at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Road W., London, ON. on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. Private family burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated by the family. A celebration of George's life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to LOGAN FUNERAL HOME, 371 Dundas Street, London, Ontario (519-433-6181). Online condolences can be expressed at www.loganfh.ca.
*NOTE* Funeral service will be limited to 30% capacity of the church, attendees will enter on a first-come, first-served basis as per the directive of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO). Face coverings are mandatory. Please be aware that Covid-19 protocols may preclude some from being able to attend. Cemetery attendance is limited as per the BAO directive.
