Anna Zaigh

Obituary of Anna Zaigh

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved mother, Anna Zaigh on January 21, 2025 at the age of 70. Anna was an incredible woman, with a nurturing soul and a gentle spirit. She loved her family dearly and always offered her support, love and kindness.

Born in Kyiv, Ukraine on April 18, 1954, Anna travelled a bit before settling in Canada with her mother, Lena and sister Sophie. Both tragically passed away too early in their lives. Anna is survived by the love of her life, Ezra and sons Sam (Crystal) and Michael (Kelsea). Anna is also survived by her nephew Eric (Alyson) and great nephew Dylan (Chloe). She was also very close with her cousin Greta (Albert).

Anna loved spending time with her family and best friends, Irene, Faye, Mila, Lisa and Svetlana. Anna was a very photogenic, natural beauty. She often took pictures with a little smile and mischievous look in her eye.

In her recent years, Anna unfortunately became burdened with a rare illness called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Although the diagnosis was grim as there is currently no cure for PSP, Anna remained extremely brave and courageous right to the end. She handled herself with honour and humour. She would fill a room with her laugh and attracted people to her, even though she had that mischievous look. She made a lot of friends with the staff and residents of Glendale Crossing where her husband Ezra came to visit her every day. Anna made all those around her feel comfortable and loved.

Her laughter was infectious, her spirit was unbreakable and her love, infinite.

A family funeral service was held at Logan Funeral Home, with burial at Or Shalom Cemetery, London, Ontario.
