Obituary of Anastasios Bujouves
Bujouves Anastasios (Tom)
1934-2025
Passed peacefully with family at his side on Friday January 31, 2025 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Demetra (Tula) Bujouves of 59 years. Loving father of Joanne (Paul) Makrakos, Julie (Bill) Smyrnios, John (Gina) Bujouves , Jim (Julie) Bujouves. Proud grandfather of nine: Nicole(Andrew), Natasha(Karl), Stephen(Apollonia), Demetri(Karina), Taso(Jelena), Laura(Xavier), Kyra(Derek), Jessie(Lucas), Alexa and great grandfather of 12. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Perry (the late Stavroula) Bujouves, the late George (Kiki) Bujouves, the late Chris (Tina) Bujouves, Helen (the late Spiro), the late Panagiota and Nick Vourtsis, Kosta (Agathi) Bujouves, and many sister and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Tom was a long standing member of our church and community and will be sadly missed by many who knew and loved him. He always made sure that his family and extended family members were well taken care of. Tom was well regarded as the owner of a number of popular restaurant establishments.
His greatest joy was his family. He was kind and selfless and took pride in his vegetable garden full of garlic and his love of baking and sharing pies.
We can take solace in knowing that Dad is at peace and is now reunited with the love of his life Tula.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks for the compassionate care and support provided by Sandra (PSW), McCormick Home Memory Lane Staff and the staff at University Hospital.
Friends will be received at LOGAN FUNERAL HOME, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne St) on Wednesday February 5, 2025 from 6-9 p.m. with prayers at 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W on Thursday February 6, 2025 at 11 a.m. with Father Konstantine Chatzis officiating.
Interment at Woodland Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Anastasios (Tom) Bujouves can be made to either the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church or McCormick Care Foundation
A tree will be planted, by the Logan Funeral Home,
as a living memorial to Anastasios “Tom” Bujouves.
