Where to begin…I will always remember the good memories, your laugh, your sarcastic sense of humour, your amazing dance moves and most of all the way you made everyone around you feel special.
You were the great pillar to this family and without you we are broken. I hope you are smiling down on us beautiful angel.

I was fortunate enough to have worked along side Ellen at Marion Villa and Mount Hope and also call her a friend. Her compassion as well as her willingness to provide the best care possible to the residents she cared for was evident. Keep your memories of your Mom close to your heart as no one can take those away. Sincere condolences to her family and friends during this most difficult time.

No longer restrained by her frail, earthly body, Ellen's true spirit is now soaring with the eagles, dancing with the wind and mingling with the clouds; she is free, at last and home again. Free, at last.

In Loving Memory of My Grandmother
To my beloved grandmother,
The one who was more than a grandmother—
You were my best friend, my cheerleader, a mother
The unwavering source of unconditional love.
I was beyond honored to be called your 5th daughter,
The strength and compassion you shared have shaped me in ways words cannot capture.
Your nurturing soul was my safe place to land,
And when I could make you laugh, the world lit up.
You were a beautiful, funny, amazing woman,
A perfect blend of wisdom, love, and raw honesty.
Through both your good and bad examples, (both the best parts of you)
You taught me more than I ever thought I’d learn.
Now, achingly, I miss you more than I can bear.
A piece of my heart is forever with you.
Unending tears fill my days,
But I know the love you gave me will never fade.
Thank you, Grandma, for being my everything—
I will carry you in my heart always.
Missing you for now, I'll see you again.
Sonya

My Mother’s love and spirit have shaped my life in ways that words can hardly capture.
My mother was not only a protector, but also a best friend, a guiding light, and a constant source of comfort.
She was always present in moments both big and small whether we were near or far. Through quiet conversations, shared laughter, or the simple, everyday acts of care, Mom was always there, a steady rock and a loving heart.
My heart aches for you Mom, and I hope the hugs, love and laughter we had here on earth, will last with you until we meet again. Thank you for the being the best Mother and know I am missing you so very much. I love you Mom.
Love your Daughter,
Debbie

Ellen (or as I call her, Granny) is the most special person I have come across. She raised me until I was 5 years old alongside my mom. She was such a strong woman who always seemed to be able to fix everything. She was so funny, sarcastic, witty, yet so gentle and kind. She never judged anybody and was the most loving woman in the world. So many people love her and will forever miss her. She changed all of our lives for the better and I am so lucky to have her as my granny forever. ❤️

I remember your mom from all those years ago when I was but a teenager in London. She was a wonderful mom to you all, full of vigour, and full of vitality. I remember her also being so so proud of her Cree ancestry and I remember all of her kids (you, Debbie, Cindy, Dale and Lloyd) all having part of the Cree in you all. It is a shame that I never saw her again after we left London; but I will always remember her from my last memories of her; and the memories bring a smile.
