Brenda was genuinely the kindest person I’ve ever met. Her and my dad, Christos, had the most beautiful friendship spanning nearly 50 years. They taught me what to look for in my own friendships. My best friend and I have been friends for just over 25 years now, and from the example my dad and Brenda set I hope we can make it just as far. Couldn’t be more grateful to her for her being there for him all the way up until the end and for me after that while I grieved him. My mom, Terry, and I are both heartbroken over Brenda’s passing and have been thinking of her everyday. The idea of Brenda and Christos catching up after the last 7 years apart since his passing is what has given us peace throughout the grief. We’re thankful they have each other as well as the other loved ones they’ve both lost over the years. Our hearts are with all of her family and friends still earthside who are missing her now, including her son Shane and her beautiful grandchildren. We are sending our love to you all ♥︎

As children Brenda was always a happy kind girl, it didn’t matter how much time would pass when we ran into one another she was still the same kind caring individual she always was… Brenda will be missed. Good people like her kept me going. RIP Brenda Chowen
