Obituary of Maria Sotiriadis
Peacefully in Waterloo, on Friday, April 25th, 2025, Maria Sotiriadis passed away in her 105th year.
Beloved wife of the late Christos Sotiriadis (1996). Loving mother of George Sotiriadis (the late Rita-2019) of London, Helen Droumtsekas (the late Chris-1999) of Waterloo, Sue Attarian (Tasos) of Greece, and John Sotiriadis (Barbara) of California. Cherished grandmother of Chris Sotiriadis (Jennie), Maria Urbano (Renato), Nick Sotiriadis (Georgina), Jamie Droumtsekas (Juanita), Ken Droumtsekas (Kim), Tina Droumtsekas, Denny Droumtsekas , Maria Attarian (Jonathan Simon), Michael Sotiriadis (Pa Vue), Sandra Allen (Robbie). Dearest great-grandmother to Dylan Talbot, George and Ariana Sotiriadis, Samantha and Mackenzie Droumtsekas, Charlie, Jack and Natalie Droumtsekas, Bridget Sotiriadis, and Jason Simon. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews in Canada, Greece and Australia.
Special thanks to the Hospice of Waterloo Region for their love, care & support for Maria and her family. Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W., London on Wednesday, April 30th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Father Konstantine Chatzis officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London Ontario.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W, London and St. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, 527 Bridgeport Rd. Kitchener would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be expressed at www.loganfh.ca.
A tree will be planted, by the Logan Funeral Home as a living memorial to Maria Sotiriadis.
