Dear Mary Ann (and Family). My heart is with you.. Whatever age we pass away, there is this sense of loss as each of our actions and words leave an imprint that makes us connect with one another. From what I know of the Schinkel family, the ties are strong and caring and love are part of your encounters. May you remember Bob in your heart with one moment that brought you Joy or Gratitude as he shared his soul and heart with his qualities and weaknesses and his life path. May you receive the blessings , comfort and love you need. Suzanne Cloutier

We are so going to miss Bob and Eva at out annual schinkel Family Reunions and gettogethers. Bob and his brother Bill used to liven up the day with their songs and guitar accompaniment..He regretted not familiarizing himself with the popular songs of the 60s, 70s, and 80s which Bill used to favour..He was so thrilled to still be able to sing with Eva more recently even as her illness was robbing her speech ..
REST IN PEACE, BOB
Love from your sisters, brother and Schinkel in-laws

I first met Bob about 50 years ago. He and his family wanted to move to London. He is a cousin of my late wife Willie. But first he needed a job and a house. So he stayed at our place, and I suggested he should maybe go to Wasko construction. He did, and was a trim carpenter there for many years. We saw each other a lot because I worked there as electrician. We became good friends with Bob and Eve. I also learned that he was a really good carpenter. Years later he helped me out when I pretended to be a carpenter and I needed all the help i could get. He mostly called me Lad because I was a few years younger than him. We sort of lost touch in our later years, but I still go to his son's garage to get my car serviced. I know Bob loved the lord, and he will be with Him when we meet again.

I had the privilege of meeting Bob when I visited him from the North Park meal team. I looked forward to my visits and felt privileged to listen to the stories from this man who loved the Lord so much. As others have said, Bob spoke lovingly of Eva and his family. He showed me his backyard and his garden. He spoke a bit about his Journey to Canada. He will be at peace now with the Lord he loves so much.

I visited with Bob during the Covid pandemic when I delivered North Park’s services on DVD. He showed me his gardens and we would sit on his back deck with Eva to chat. It was wonderful to get to know Bob over these visits. His love for Eva and his kids was very evident in the way he talked about each of them. He was a faithful person who worked hard at everything he did. His care of Eva was not easy but he did it with love and devotion. I am glad I had the privilege to spend that time with Bob. I pray the family’s memories of him bring them joy!
