Peacefully, surrounded by family, Robert Abraham Schinkel passed away at the age of 91 on May 22, 2025. Beloved husband of Eva Schinkel and proud father of Paul (Sharon), Roy (Grace), Bryan (Joanne), Mary-Lynn and Sheryl (David).

He will be dearly missed by siblings Tina, Audrey, Gerda, Mary-Ann and David. Predeceased by brothers Jack, Jerry and William. Predeceased by his parents, William & Marie Schinkel.
He was known as Robert, Bram, Bob, Bobbie, Dad, Grandpa, even “Bob the Builder”. Born in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Bob immigrated to Canada with his family and lived a full and satisfying life - known by many for his expert woodcraft, his love for Jesus, and his passion for singing while playing his guitar.
If there was one thing he would want us to remember in his life and passing, we believe it would be to be strong, work hard and persevere in life, knowing that you never walk alone, and that the joy of the Lord is your strength.
