Obituary of Peter Wabischewich
In Loving Memory of Peter Wabischewich
1940-2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather. After a short stay in hospital, Peter left us peacefully on May 28, 2025.
Peter was born near Arborg, Manitoba on July 10, 1940.
Peter was able to enjoy 25 years of retirement after completing 30 years at the St. Thomas Ford Assembly Plant.
His greatest wish was to see his cherished Toronto Maple Leafs win another Stanley Cup but he knew he could not live forever.
Predeceased by his wife of 56 years Janet (2021) and his daughter Bernice (1970). He is survived by his children Sherrie (Brad) and Bernie (Kristi) as well as an extended family of step children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A private family service will be held, however a Celebration of Life will take place for family and friends to pay their respects on Saturday June 14, 2025 from 1-4 p.m. at Bernie’s Bar and Grill (#1290 Byron Baseline Rd, London).
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to My Sisters’ Place or Ark Aid Street Mission Inc.
Arrangements entrusted to Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd., London, Ontario (519-451-9350).
Online condolences can be expressed at www.evansfh.ca
A tree will be planted, by the Evans Funeral Home, as a living memorial to Peter Wabischewich.
