Obituary of Michael Pispidikis
With grace, after a short illness and surrounded by the love of his family, Michael passed away in his 88th year, on May 29th, 2025. Loving husband of Anastasia (2022) for 60 years and father of John & his wife Christina of Toronto and Paul & his wife Georgina of London. Cherished grandfather of Photinie, Demetre, Michael & Anastasios. Dear brother of Pascale & Irene Pispidikis, Theodoros & Evaggelia Pispidikis of London and Eleni & Niko Kakalas of Greece. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Michael & Anastasia immigrated into Pier 21 Halifax, N.S. in 1963 via Germany and made London their home on Thanksgiving Day 1963. Even while coming to Canada with limited means and an entrepreneurial spirit, he had the determination to become successful. He was a very proud welder, and he loved his little shop: Mike’s Welding and Product shop where he worked until retiring at the age of 78, all while providing for his family together with his lady, Anastasia. He loved to garden and maintain an immaculate lawn.
Family always came first for Michael. He took great joy in taking care and playing with his grandchildren. He was always ready and willing to help anyone and everyone. He loved to go for coffee with his friends, ready for a great conversation. He was a lifelong member and supporter of the Holy Trinity Greek Community of London.
Special thanks to the nurses, PSW’s and Staff of 4W at The Manor Village Retirement Home. We take comfort in knowing that he was very well taken care of since residing there for 2 years.
Visitation will be held at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W., on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 10-11 a.m. Funeral service will follow in the church at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Woodland Cemetery.
Donations to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be expressed at www.loganfh.ca . Logan Funeral Home, (519) 433-6181, entrusted with arrangements.
A tree will be planted as a living memorial to
Michael Pispidikis
