Obituary of Joao Manuel "John" Soares Cordeiro

Unexpectedly, in his 63^rd year, John Cordeiro passed away on June 24, 2025, in London, Ontario. 

For nearly 41 years, he was the beloved husband of Senhorinha Cordeiro, nee Medeiros. John will be terribly missed by his children Christina (Bobby), Adam, Lisa (Norman), Nathan (Krista), Samantha (Dylan), and Kimberly, as well as his fur baby, Star. He was the loving grandfather of Laiken, Ethen, Estella, Aria, Lennox, Zaiden and Dominic. John was predeceased by his parents Fernando and Maria Cordeiro and by 1 sister and 2 brothers. He will be remembered by his brothers and sisters, in laws, extended family and friends in Canada and Portugal.

John was an incredibly proud father who loved watching his girls in marching band, fishing with the boys, Sporting Soccer Club, the Montreal Canadians. He was quick with a joke, loved to laugh, and would seldom be found without a Tim Horton’s coffee in hand. His most prized possessions were his grandchildren that he adored spending time with.  

Visitation will be held at Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Road, London, Ontario (1 block east of Egerton St.), on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Santa Cruz, 10 Elm Street, London, Ontario on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. (Parking available at Evans Funeral Home).

Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London, Ontario
