Obituary of Joan Harriet Pembleton
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Joan Pembleton on July 8, 2025, in her 82nd year.
Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Pembleton, with whom she shared many years of love, laughter, and unwavering partnership. She will be deeply missed by her devoted children: Mary Ellen, William (Susan), and James.
A proud and loving grandmother, Joan leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life and were a constant source of pride.
Joan will be remembered for her quiet strength, warm heart, and the deep love she held for her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the memories she created with those who knew and loved her.
Per Joan’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A graveside service will be held to honor her life at Mount Pleasant Cemetery (303 Riverside Drive, London) on July. 12 2025 at
10:00 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Logan Funeral Home (519-433-6181). In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre in Joan’s memory.
She is now reunited with her beloved William, and may they rest in eternal peace together.
To My Mother
When God created you, dear one,
He made a perfect thing,
That send a gust of joy through
Heav’n
And made the choirs sing.
He took a ray of sunshine
And a bit of angel’s smile;
He dipped into the brightness
Of the cherubs’star-dust pile.
He added sweetest fragrance
From the rose-bed of the sky,
With a final dash of whiteness
From a cloudlet passing by.
If God had given me to choose
My mother at my birth,
I would have chosen you of all
The mothers on the earth
