Obituary of Fotios (Frank) Karamoutzos
Fotios (Frank) Karamoutzos
November 21st, 1929 – August 19th, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of our beloved Father, Fotios (Frank) Karamoutzos, on August 19th, 2025, at the age of 95. Surrounded by family, he left this world peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of strength, wisdom, devotion, and rich memories told through stories.
Born in Karya, Argolidos, Greece on November 21st, 1929, Frank lived a life defined by his unwavering commitment to his family. He was the cornerstone of our home, a guiding light whose love and sacrifices shaped generations. Frank immigrated to Canada on August 19th, 1975, exactly 50 years to the day of his passing.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Maria (Denezis) Karamoutzos, his four children, Sotirios (Anna), Helen (George Starfas), Bill, Petros (Christie), grandchildren, Valante (Madison), Frankie, Nikki, Marina (Alexander Goldoni), Marco, Vasili, great-grandchildren Sammy and Mia, all of whom reside in London, Ontario, and dearly loved by many nephews, nieces, and friends who cherished him deeply. He was predeceased by his parents Sotirios (1940) and Eleni (1961), sister Panagoula (Nikolaos Livaditis), brothers Panos (Eleni), Andreas, and Konstantinos (Despina), and brothers in-law Panagiotis Denezis and Giannis Denezis. Survived by sisters-in-law Elefteria Karamoutzos, Eleni Makri, Athena Denezis, and Gianna Denezis.
To those who knew him, Barba Foti was more than a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather—he was a mentor, a protector, and a man whose quiet strength inspired all who had the privilege of knowing him. His stories, traditions, and lessons will live on through those he loved and cherished.
Family and friends are invited to honor his life at a visitation in the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street, London, on Sunday from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. with prayers at 8:00. Funeral Service will be held in the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Road West, on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Konstantine Chatzis officiating. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Online condolences can be expressed at www.loganfh.ca
Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
A tree will be planted, by the staff of the Logan Funeral Home,
as a living memorial to Frank Karamoutzos
