Obituary of Thomas Louis Shura
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Thomas Shura Jr. on August 20, 2025, in his 60th year.
Thomas was a unique and memorable individual—fiercely independent and determined to make his own way in life. Though his path wasn’t always smooth, he met its challenges with resilience, a touch of mischief, and an uncanny knack for finding the silver lining—especially when it came with a free meal, a ticket to a basketball game, or a trip to Springbank Park.
He will be remembered for his sharp wit, his warm and endearing smile, and his genuine kindness, which touched the lives of those who knew him.
We are deeply grateful to the staff and residents of The Bruce Residence for their care and companionship, and to Sherri at the Canadian Corps Veterans Club for her many years of friendship and support.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 2001 Dundas Street East, London, Ontario. Arrangements have been entrusted to Evans Funeral Home (519-451-3828). Online condolences can be expressed at www.evansfh.ca
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Indwell London, in honour of Thomas.
Thomas was a gentle man who will be dearly missed.
