Obituary of Margaret Hunt
On Sunday, August 24, 2025 surrounded by love, Margaret Hunt was called home to her Lord at the remarkable age of 101. Margaret was born in 1924 in North Bay, Ontario and was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Margaret Leslie, and her six siblings.
Beloved wife of the late Harry Hunt (2003) and predeceased by her son Bobby (1963), she is survived by her children Marion (John), Jennifer (Fraser), Malcolm (Cathy), Anne (Barry), and David (Colleen). She will be lovingly remembered by her 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Margaret lived her life with quiet strength and an unwavering faith in her Saviour. Her greatest treasures were her family, her friendships, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, and steadfast love. Alongside her love of reading, gardening, and needlework, she had a fondness for music and a prowess for crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Margaret devoted herself to her church, giving generously of her time and talents to a variety of mission and children’s programs.
A private family interment will be held on August 28, followed by a reception where her life and legacy will be celebrated.
The family is grateful for the compassionate staff at Highview Residences.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to a charity of your choice.
A tree will be planted, by the Logan Funeral Home, as a living memorial to Margaret Hunt.
