Obituary of Gordon Walter Evans

February 15, 1936 – October 24, 2025

Peacefully, on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Hamilton General Hospital, Gordon Evans passed away at the age of 89.

Beloved husband of the late Beverley Evans (née Staton). Loving father of James Evans, the late David Evans and Paul Evans. Greatly missed by his 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Cherished brother to several brothers and sisters. Forever in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Ernest & Irene Evans.

Gord was a long-time member of the Church of the Nazarene, he loved socializing and was a very gifted singer and guitar player which he played for many special events. Gord will be fondly remembered for his volunteer work at homes for the elderly along with his caring nature.

Cremation has taken place.

A celebration of Gord’s life will take place at a later date.

Those who wish, may make memorial donations to a charity of choice in memory of Gord.
