Obituary of Jim Lambrinos
Peacefully, with family by his side at University Hospital, LHSC, on February 5, 2026, Dimitrios “Jim” Lambrinos passed away at the age of 86.
Beloved husband of the late Helen Lambrinos (2024). Loving father of Apostolis “Paul” (Ekaterini “Kathy”) Lambrinos and Christos (Dafne) Lambrinos. Cherished Papou to Demetrios P. Lambrinos, Georgia Eleni Lambrinos, Eleni Callista Lambrinos, Demetrios Lukas Lambrinos, Maria Melina Lambrinos. Dear brother of Eleni (the late Demetrios) Kakaletris. Predeceased by brothers Nikos (Evangelia) Lambrinos & Stratos (Eva) Lambrinos and sister Panagiota (Demetrios) Kritikos.
Though small in stature, he was a giant in spirit. No matter the challenges life placed before him – including health struggles, vision loss, and the heartbreak of losing loved ones – Jim carried himself with a gentle nature, warm smile, and a positive outlook that never faded. Jim will be missed by his weekend coffee crew at the B&B who were a special part of his life. He is described as one of a kind, always happy to share in a shot of Ouzo or Metaxa, or a nice cup of Greek coffee his dear wife would’ve made. He is remembered as one of the generation that “really showed up and made us embrace the Greek filoxenia, friendship, and the Greek culture.”
~ May his memory be eternal~
