Obituary of Vasilios Dimitropoulos
Vasilios (Bill) Dimitropoulos, originally of Riza, Sparti, Greece, passed peacefully in London, Ontario, on Sunday February 8, 2026, in his 86th year. He leaves behind his son, Gus Dimitropoulos, son Jim Dimitropoulos, daughter Georgina Dimitropoulos and is pre-deceased by his wife Panagiota (Pat) Dimitropoulos (2019).
Bill was well known to the downtown London community as the owner of Nielson’s Charcoal Broil restaurant from 1973 to 1988. He subsequently owned other restaurants and served many loyal customers until retiring in 2008. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St., London, on Thursday from 6-9pm (Prayers at 7:30pm). Funeral service will be conducted in the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W., London, Ontario, on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London, Ontario. Online condolences can be expressed at www.loganfh.ca
