Curtis Rensby

Obituary of Curtis Jon Rensby

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Curtis Jon Rensby, in his 58th year, in the early hours of Friday, February 27, 2026, following a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

Beloved son of Peggy (John) Lauckner, dearest brother of Justin (Jennifer) Rensby and Lindsay (Brett) Lauckner Gundlock. Adored nephew to Trudy Loree and Mary Anne Wrubleski. Proud uncle of Forrest Rensby, Rachel (Richard) Gracious, Everett and Emilia Gundlock, great uncle to Beatrice Gracious. Cousin to Colin and Ryan Wrubleski and Nadine (Doug) Wakabayashi. Big cousin and nephew to the Lauckner family.  A special friend to Nova MacPhail.

Curtis spent his early years working in the hospitality industry. He made many friends with his easy going personality and quirky sense of humour. For the last decade he worked with Justin in his geology business where Curtis enjoyed the physical challenge, the remote outdoors and particularly the brotherly comradery that evolved (we really thought the first time they went out together that only one of them would come back!).

Curtis enjoyed his long walks, reading, watching Dallas Cowboy football, manning the BBQ at family gatherings and euchre.

A special thanks to Justin and Jenny, who cared for him after his release from hospital. Also, a great thank you to the doctors, nurses and PSW workers.

Cremation has taken place.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

Arrangements entrusted to Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street, London, Ontario (519-433-6181).
