Obituary of Dolly Metcalfe
Metcalfe, Dolina “Dolly” (Nee Harlow)
Quietly and peacefully, at the age of 101, Dolly Metcalfe passed away at Mount Hope, London, on March 2, 2026.
Dolly will be deeply missed by her children Dyanne (Barry) Wildman, Maureen (Mark) Knight, and John (Pam) Metcalfe. Her life truly revolved around her family, and that was evident with her grandchildren Kim Wildman, Bryan Wildman, Jenn (Greg) Benedetti, Shary-Beth (Martin) Bridges, Jeff Metcalfe, Collin (Alicia) Knight and Joel (Chelsea) Knight. She was the doting Great Grandma Boo-Boo to Victoria, Nicole, Ty, Jaxon, Braylon, Atleigh, Korsyn, Cedric, Errol, Colton, Oakley, Harlow and Theodore.
Dolly was predeceased by her husband Ronald Metcalfe, her son Barry Thomas and brother Bobby Harlow.
She loved being in the garden and summers at the trailer with her family. She spent most of her working years at Nash Jewellers, downtown London, and was always in the company of her beloved Yorkies or cats. For as long as her hands allowed, she crafted beautiful things, knitting and sewing. She was truly a sweet, loved and well-respected woman. Her absence is profound.
Friends and family will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St., on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 12- 1pm. A celebration of her life will follow in the Logan Chapel.
Those who wish to make a memorial donation in Dolly’s name are asked to consider the London Humane Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Online condolences can be expressed at www.loganfh.ca
