Obituary of Frieda McKenzie

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frieda McKenzie (nee Nyhout), after a brief, courageous battle with cancer. Frieda was the loving mother of Kyle McKenzie and wife of the late John McKenzie (1985). Predeceased by her parents, Barbara (2001) and Henk (2012) Nyhout and brother Paul Nyhout (2013). Frieda is also survived by her siblings Carla Roselle (Tim), David (Kris) Nyhout and Greg (Julie) Nyhout and many nieces and nephews.

Frieda worked as a dedicated employee for 46 years in customer service at Bach-Simpson in London.

She was most comfortable living a quiet life at home in the company of her dogs Cosmo and Dodge.

She loved watching sports, cheering on the Blue Jays, London Knights and of course her beloved Montreal Canadiens.

She enjoyed spending many hours in her backyard sharing gardening ideas with her next door neighbour of many years, Eleanor.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
