Obituary of Helen (Eleni) Giannakopoulos (née Eleftheroglou)

Peacefully, at LHSC, Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Helen (Eleni) Giannakopoulos passed away at the age of 66.

Beloved wife of Dimitris Giannakopoulos. Loving mother of Suzanna Giannakopoulos. Dear sister of Penny (Steve) Tzavaras and Mike Eleftheroglou. Cherished aunt of Billy, Victoria, Isabelle and Selena. Proud daughter of Vicky & the late Nick Eleftheroglou (2012). Forever in the hearts of her extended family and friends in London, Ontario and Greece.

Helen will be fondly remembered for her kind spirit and loving nature.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. M. Bertrand, Dr. S. Welch, Dr. A. Sugimoto and all the nurses at LHSC, Victoria Hospital for all their care and support.

As per Helen’s wishes, private funeral service and burial has taken place.

Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London, Ontario

Those who wish may make memorial donations to Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre (formerly London Regional Cancer Program) in memory of Helen.
