Obituary of James MacGraw Gorrie

Peacefully, at LHSC, University Hospital on Saturday, August 15, 2026, James MacGraw Gorrie passed away at the age of 89. Beloved husband of 60 years to the late Helen M. Gorrie (née MacKenzie) (2022). Loving father of Alan (Bettina) and Christine (Bobbie). Cherished grandfather of Anja (Andrej) and Connor (Kara) and great grandfather of Maks. Predeceased by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Brother-in-law of the late Cameron (Christine) MacKenzie of Scotland. Forever in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Canada, Scotland and Australia.

James will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all those who knew him.

Cremation has taken place.

Those who wish may make memorial donations to asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Society.
