Obituary of Panagiote Doumas

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Panagiote (Peter/Takis) in his 98th year, on September 30, 2026. He passed away unexpectedly following a brief hospitalization.​‌

Panagiote is lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Genovefa, and by his daughter, Konstantina Doumas.

Cherished son of the late Fotis and Konstantina Doumas. He will be remembered by his siblings in Greece and Australia, the late Antonis (Voula), the late Harikleia (the late Vaggelis Delis), George (Harkleia), Elias (the late Panagoula), Eleftheria (the late Athanasios Sousounis) As well as by his sister-in-law Konstantina (the late George Dabassis), and brother-in-laws Sotirios (the late Anastasia Maginas) and George (the late Georgia Angelothanasis) and his many nieces and nephews here in London and abroad.

Panagiote was born in Patras, Greece, on September 29, 1929. In 1967, he and his wife, Genovefa, embarked on a journey to Canada, beginning a new chapter in their lives together. Following Genovefa's family, they settled in London, Ontario, and established their life in their new country.

His 98 years were a testament to a life well lived and his family will carry his memory in their hearts and treasure the many years they were blessed to share with him.

Panagiote will be fondly remembered for his love of FIFA and passion for the beautiful game of soccer all around.

A funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W., London, Ontario on Saturday October 3^rd, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.

Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London, Ontario.

Those who wish may make memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in memory of Panagiote.
