Obituary of Rev. Charles “Chuck” Johnson
Rev. Charles “Chuck” Johnson went peacefully into His presence on Sunday November 27, 2005, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of the late Elena Johnson (nee Garland). Dearly loved father of Anne Knutson of Illinois, Paul (Robin) of London, Ontario, Jonathon (Doreen) of Florida, and Bonita “Kayla” (Jon) VanDenBerg of Mexico. Cherished grandfather of 2 granddaughters, 5 grandsons and 1 great-grandson. Chuck was born in Truro, Nova Scotia. He served in WWII as a member of an R.C.A.F. (Royal Canadian AirForce) Squadron in Burma (Myanmar). Chuck & Elena together served as missionaries in Bolivia for many years with New Tribes Mission reaching the tribal people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Family & Friends will be received for visitation at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton) on Wednesday from 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be conducted at Knollwood Baptist Church, 800 Cheapside St., on Thursday December 1, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Robin's Hill Cemetery, London.
