Obituary of Merle O'Dell Stoddard
After a period of illness, in his 84th year, Merle Stoddard passed away at University Hospital, on July 17, 2017.
Merle is survived by his daughter Cindy (Rick) of London, his son Lionel (Donna) of Newbury, and his son Merle "Jay" JR (Esther) of Dorchester. Predeceased by his daughter Susan Ann. He was grandfather to Amanda of London, Laura of London, Jason of Nanaimo, BC., Callie of Edmonton, AB., Jonathan of Nanaimo, BC., Vanessa of St. Thomas, and Andrew of London. He also leaves behind his great grandchildren Paige, Riley, Matthew, Nicole, and one great great grandchild, Titus.
His good friend Kimmie of Vancouver, who considered him her dearest friend, and a one of a kind, gentle, compassionate and spiritual man says "I will miss Merle very much, but I know he is watching over me, and is at peace and pain free, traveling on his journey."
As his ashes are put to rest, may his family find peace and forgiveness, so that they too, can move on.
A graveside service will be held at Pond Mills Cemetery, on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11 am.
