Obituary of Rosa Rodrigues Goncalves

Peacefully, with family by her side, at University Hospital on Monday, April 8, 2013, Rosa passed away in her 79th year. Loving mother of Alice (Helder) Medeiros of London and Maria (Manuel) Fernandes of Long Island, New York. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jennifer (Daniel) Teves, Jessica (Jansen) Evoy & Percilla Medeiros all of London, and Alice (Manuel) Fernandes, Carla Fernandes & Stephanie Fernandes all of Long Island, New York. Great-grandmother of Daynaka, Payton, Austin, Brian, Rosemary, Jason & Daniel. Dear sister of Antonio Goncalves & Jose Goncalves both of London, and Manuel Goncalves, Brazilia Pacheco, Arlindo Goncalves & the late Aulinda Guedes all of Portugal. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Wednesday from 6-9pm (Prayers at 6:15pm). Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Church (Hamilton Rd. at Elm St.) on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at 12:00 p.m. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
