Obituary of Gordon "Gord" Mattson

After a short illness, and with his family by his side, Gord Mattson of London passed away peacefully in his 62nd year. Gord leaves behind his dear wife Pam Martin. He will be deeply missed by his son Aaron (Andrea) and his daughter Lisa (Raye) Pegg, both of London. Gord was a very special Grandpa to Xavier Pegg, Holden Mattson, Sebastian Pegg, and Kaiden and Maisie Mattson. Also left to mourn are his sister Joan (Sam) Hill and brothers Jack and Bill (April) Mattson, all of London. Gord will be remembered by his aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Kenneth Mattson (1976) and Trudy Mattson Nickason (1994). Gord spent his most of his working life as a devoted driver for Checker Limousine. A service to celebrate Gord’s life will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 11:00 am. with visitation held one hour prior at the EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block East of Egerton). Cremation to follow. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
