Obituary of Edward Alfred "Ted" Ings

On June 25, 2009 our beloved Ted passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Victoria Hospital, L.H.S.C., in his 68th year. He will be greatly missed by Angela, life partner of 41 years, and his 5 children Catherine and her husband Steve, Gerry and his girlfriend Courtney, Edward junior, Mike and his wife Sarah, and John Paul and his girlfriend Lindsay. He will also be missed by his 8 grandchildren Leigha, Alex, Shannon, Riley, Aidan, Sean , Connor, and Isla. Ted is predeceased by his Father Harry Sr. Ings and Mother Bertha (nee Brereton) and brother Harry Jr. Ings and many Uncles , Aunts and Cousins. Ted was known by many for his kind heart and friendliness. We would like to thank the staff on the 7th floor for all their care and compassion shown towards Ted and our family through these last stormy weeks. Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Monday from 3-5 & 7-9pm. Prayers in the Evans Chapel Monday at 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Justin’s Catholic Church, 855 Jalna Blvd., on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
